Amey’s corporate social responsibility objectives believe that if our activities help just one individual, then this is the “right thing to do.” This maxim is strongly evident in the community work undertaken by our Kent CSR team made up of Keeley Russell, David Fawcett and Ruth Kinsella. By working with the community to produce a Community Engagement Plan (CEP) the team ensured that the work delivered within the Kent community was effective and had far reaching benefits. The Kent team has developed many successful partnerships including, Kent EBP, Demelza Children’s Hospice, DIY SOS, YHA, Kent Supported Employment, Leybourne Grange Disabled Riding School, The Princes Trust, Trussell Trust and Whitfield School Walking Bus. The team achieved their goals by utilising the skills, commitment and desire of the whole team to make a real difference. The pride the Kent CSR Team feel in working alongside their communities has led to an inspiring programme of activities and achievement that are regarded as one of the leaders in social value across Amey. Amey are very proud of Keeley, David, Ruth and the whole Kent team. Their genuine and holistic approach to community engagement has resulted in positive outcomes for local communities, charities and individuals.
