Morgan Stanley with Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity
Supporting critically ill children and their families at crucial times
Morgan Stanley has been working with Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH) since 2007, raising over £13m to support children and their families during the most critical times.
December 2016 marked the end of a two-year employee selected partnership with the charity where we exceeded our fundraising target by 20%, raising £1.8m for Morgan Stanley House, new parent accommodation close to the hospital. As well as getting involved in fundraising activities, over 800 employees volunteered their time to support the hospital, from making hundreds of goody bags and helping at the patient parties, to mentoring senior clinical staff moving into management roles.
Working in partnership with GOSH, we also found a sustainable and impactful solution for re-housing our 2016 Chelsea Flower Show garden, moving it to a disused roof space at the hospital. Since the garden opened in 2016 it has become a haven of calm for parents during what can be an incredibly difficult time.
Our decade-long relationship with GOSH is deeply rooted in the Firm’s core value of giving back to the communities around the world where employees live and work. It’s a long-standing tradition we are proud to continue well into the future.
