Biography

Helen has ten year’s experience working in the international development and major donor sector. As Director of Partnerships and Philanthropy Helen leads Save the Children’s major donor, trusts, special events, new business and corporate partnerships teams to deliver long-term transformational relationships and partnerships in support of Save the Children’s priorities. Between 2014 and 2017, Helen led Save the Children’s major giving and trusts department building a major donor and trusts programme and team to triple its income from high net worth individuals. In her roles at Save the Children, Helen has also led a £30m domestically focused appeal board, personally secured Save the Children’s largest ever multi-million-pound gift from a UK philanthropist and travelled extensively with major donors showing them the impact their investment has in transforming children’s lives.

Prior to joining Save the Children she held roles at UNICEF and Medicines Sans Frontiere and spent time working with children with HIV/AIDS in Kenya and teaching English in Senegal. She holds a Masters in Development Studies for SOAS and a BA Hons in French and Geography from the University of Birmingham
