The Event Academy’s partnership with the Teenage Cancer Trust illustrates a wonderful example of how a charity and a small Business can work together to achieve mutual success. The partnership is driven from a common goal – young people are at the heart of everything we do and will ultimately benefit from the work we do together.
By choosing TCT as their partner charity, The Event Academy facilitate the opportunity for their young students, who are looking to develop a career in events and have an exciting future ahead, to also do something significantly positive – help other young people whose dreams and aspirations have been put on hold.
Event Academy’s students must show that they are capable of working as an “agency” to design, create and deliver a successful live fundraising event. Each of these live events raise money for TCT’s vital work with teenagers battling cancer.
Each agency is provided with £1,000 as a budget and tasked with raising at least £4,000. On average students are given only three weeks to put the whole event together.
Over £43,000 has been raised for young people suffering with cancer in the UK. The charity say this about their small business partner: “They are truly inspirational, dedicated and passionate people to work with”.
