Charity Partnership: Telecoms and Technology
Bluecube Technology Solutionswith The Brain Tumour Charity
What is the partnership?
IT services provider Bluecube Technology Solutions provides £120,000 in IT support and solutions every year to The Brain Tumour Charity. This support plays a vital role in helping the charity reach its goals of doubling survival and halving the harm that brain tumours cause.
What did the company do?
The Brain Tumour Charity, which relies entirely on voluntary donations, was not able to invest in a much-needed new IT system until Bluecube offered to provide its services for free.
As part of the partnership, Bluecube has implemented a cloud-based IT system, which allows regional staff to work remotely, considerably improving their output. The charity also benefits from access to the Bluecube help desk and consultancy. In return, The Brain Tumour Charity promotes Bluecube through its own website and events.
Why did it win?
The value of Bluecube’s donation frees an entire year of funding for a research programme at one of the UK’s top institutions, working to find better treatments and a cure for brain tumours. Over the past three years, The Brain Tumour Charity has expanded its workforce from 15 to 74 and its annual income has risen from £4.9m to £7m. This would not have been possible without efficient IT services.
